Mr. Rajamouli said, “I know a little bit about animation and graphics which are generally used in films, and I have heard that many institutions are providing courses for a period of 4 to 6 months. I wondered what children would do in such a short period. But one of my friends told me that IACG, an academy based in Hyderabad, is offering a 4 Year BMM course in the stream of multimedia and I am very happy to know that.” He added, “Art is not so easy to learn; you need to strive for it, it might be painting, drawing or any form of art; unless you put your heart in it, you will not get the result.”
Further he said, “You have selected a path of hardship and passion and you should strive hard till the end to achieve it. I have seen your gallery in which your paintings and sculptures were displayed, I am happy & sad both at the same time because you have come up with some of your own ideas but at the same time you have also borrowed some of it.”
“I am not saying that the students have done something wrong. They definitely should borrow ideas and get influenced by outer sources but they should keep the influence to a limit. Do not let it influence your originality and do not let your original creativity vanish.”
He addressed the final year students by saying, “If you had done a bad job or only 50% of what you have done, I would not have appreciated it, but the students have achieved 95% of excellence and I wish to ask when you have the capacity of achieving 95% why did you leave out the 5%, which is creativity.” He concluded by saying, “You cannot give reasons for not getting the complete result, do not compromise in life.”
