Course Details:

The Academy offers a professional digital media training for Bachelors Degree which covers the fields of graphic design, photography, web-based learning, interactive media presentations, audio & video production, 2D& 3D, digital cinema, virtual walkthroughs and game development concepts. The objective of this course is to provide all the necessary inputs to become a perfect multimedia professional. The course is designed in such a way that everyone who joins in this course will be trained right from the basics i.e. computer fundamentals, drawing principles, art, animation techniques etc.

On graduation, you will be able to understand the theory behind the analysis of media forms, concepts of production, text, audiences and reception in a range of media and undertake an appropriate level of research using recommended learning resources. You will feel confident on debating issues relating to media arts institutions, organizations, cultural industries and apply critical and cultural theories to the media, demonstrating an enhanced awareness of creative aspects of media consumption and production. You will also have acquired transferable skills such as written and oral communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

This course is designed for those who are interested in developing applications for print & publishing, internet, electronic media, game development and entertainment industries.

The students will be awarded the Bachelors Degree in Multimedia from JNT University after the successful completion of the course.


Admission procedure

Eligibility: Candidate passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with a Minimum aggregate of 55% is eligible.

How to apply: Candidates who wish to enroll for BMM for the year 2008-2009 should apply by downloading the application directly from the official website of the academy www.iacg.info or from the official website of JNTU www.jntu.ac.in.

Application Process: Candidate should fill the application form in bold letters and enclose the Demand draft of Rs. 500/- duly drawn in favor of “The Registrar, JNTU” payable at Hyderabad along with 2 passport size color photographs on or before 10th MAY 2008.

Selection process: Candidates who have applied for BMM for the year 2008-2009 should go through “Two Phases” of selection process which will be conducted by JNTU collaboratively with IACG.

Phase 1: In Phase 1, all the candidates have to undergo a written examination that is scheduled on 25th MAY, 2008 from 10.00 AM – 1.00PM at (Hyderabad, Tirupati, Vishakapattanam, Vijayawada, Bangalore and Mumbai). The Results for the same will be declared on 2nd June 2008 By SMS / By Post/ By Email / Internet on the official website of the academy (www.iacg.info ) and the university (www.jntu.ac.in ).

Phase 2: Candidates who qualify in the 1st Phase would be eligible to attend the 2nd Phase of the selection process held on 12th, 13th and 14th of JUNE-08. This would forego a Personal Interview and Group Discussions on Life Skills. This will be held at the Academy Campus (IACG, DILSUKHNAGAR, and HYDERABAD – 500036).

Examination Result: Final Results will be declared on 1st July 2008 By SMS / By Post/ By Email / Internet on the official website of the academy (www.iacg.info ) and the university (www.jntu.ac.in ).

Date of Counseling: Based on their ranks candidates will be called for counseling that would be held on 11th, 12th & 13th July, 2008.

Hostel fee: Candidates can opt for Hostel Facility for the first year
BOYS   – Rs 26,000/- per Annum      GIRLS – Rs 36,000/- per Annum

*Note: It is compulsory for all the candidates to stay at hostel once the operations at New Campus commences.

Late fee: Demand draft for Rs. 1000/- duly drawn in favor of The Registrar, JNTU payable at Hyderabad should be enclosed with the application at the time of submission towards examination fees including late fee on or before 20th MAY 2008
